Chad Sayala is Of Counsel to the firm, and routinely handles cases involving semiconductor fabrication and packaging. He has practiced patent law for 15 years, and has considerable experience in patent procurement for global portfolios. In addition to semiconductors, he has prepared and prosecuted patent applications directed to machinery, mathematical models, oilfield technology, fluid design, surgical instruments for ocular and spinal procedures, as well as numerous other devices and processes.
Previously, he represented patent owners in patent infringement litigation in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is experienced in patent monetization, and has negotiated patent licenses. Prior to attending law school, he worked for an oilfield service company, where he operated multiple propagation resistivity (MPR) tools from offshore drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Chad received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, and his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Chad is admitted to practice in Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Chad is not admitted in Connecticut.
