Catherine Ivers

Catherine has over thirty years of experience in the semiconductor industry.  Her career started as an engineer, and she then moved into patent work.   Catherine has significant experience in patent preparation and prosecution, and successfully managed a 10,000+ worldwide patent portfolio.  She also has extensive experience in monetizing patents, including patent licensing, patent sales, and patent litigation.  Through these various duties, Catherine applied her deep technical knowledge and demonstrated skills in creating and defending patent infringement charts, organizing portfolios, performing due diligence, negotiating patent sales agreements, and creating and implementing patent quality metrics and practices.  Catherine leverages her patent monetization experience and industry knowledge to maximize the value of patents in her preparation and prosecution work.

Catherine earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a masters of engineering in materials science from Cornell University, and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Florida.  Catherine graduated cum laude from Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law where she attended on scholarship, was a member of Law Review, and was selected for the Federal Judicial Honors Program. 

She is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey, and is a registered Patent Attorney with the USPTO.
