James P. Janniello

Jim is a patent agent in the firm and has been engaged in patent prosecution since 2003.  Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University (now New York University Tandon School of Engineering).  Jim was a Member of the Technical Staff and a Manager in the Communications Department at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center from 1988 through 2002, where he was involved in the design and development of communication systems, HDTV broadcast technologies, and distributed control standards.  He was also a member of a team developing corporate strategies for Broadband Computing and Rich Media.  Prior to joining IBM, Jim was a Member of the Technical Staff at Philips Medical Systems where he was
involved in the design and development of computer radiography systems.  Jim’s practice involves a wide variety of electrical and computer-related technologies, including communications networks, wireless technologies, image processing, enterprise systems, database management, electronic commerce, software, cloud computing, and computer architectures.

Jim is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
